Petasos

Petasos is the second of Nephrite's youmas. Her power is based on nature and she possesses an ond man who'se job is to keep a park recently bought by a company intending to build on it. She brings the positive point of saving that park. She has the particularity of using attack formulas.

Nephrite find the victim by asking the stars, as usual. The man is sadened to see his park being destroyed. Nephrite goes to him and tells him how horrible it is to see all this pretty nature destroyed, and that he could do something about it: he puts Petasos in his hat, and she lends him the power to control insects and animals, to amplify his energy. Soom, the man is very angry. Butterflies destroys the machinery cutting the trees and harrasses men and animals attacks people. The owner is attacked by squirrels and promises to never toutch the park again. Incidently, Ami is friend with the old keeper, and notices his comportment has changed: he hates humans and orders her to leave, judging her unworthy of receiving nature's blessings. She is in the park when Petasos reveals herself, taking the man's energy and ordering animals to kill all humans. Rei isn't far, she's on the lake, in a boat with Mamoru, Usagi spying on them, using a date with Umino as an excuse to get closer.

Sailor Moon and Mercury are attacked by butterflies and Luna by squirrels. When Mercury neutralises them with the Shabon Spray, Sailor Moon is caught by the "Hand Flower" attack, witch consists of a ball of lianas thrown at the victim, transforming into a net and emprisonning the victim. Petasos then catch Mercury in her hair, also made of lianas, "Petasos Ropes". Meanwhile, Rei and Mamoru, on the lake, are attacked by birds, have to get nearer of the combat and feel evil vibes. Rei transforms. Mercury is very man that someone attacks "Oji-san"(grand-father), as she calls him, and in the same time Mars comes and frees Sailor Moon with a well aimed Firesoul(though she doesn't look comfortable in the flames), Mercury manages to break the ropes crushing her. Petasos would have had them all with another "Hand Flower", but she gets a rose in the face and before she can attack again, is attacked and destroyed by the Sailors. Surprise, surprise...

She doesn't appear in the manga.
